Responsibilities for Officials/Safety Chair:

The Officials’ Committee promotes and coordinates officials’ clinics,maintains a current roster of officials, and ensures safety is maintained at ALL LMSC events.

The Safety Committee promotes and coordinates safety clinics,maintains a current roster of events, and ensures safety is maintained at ALL LMSC events.

Responsibilities for Sanctions Chair:

• Assists meet directors in following rules of obtaining a USMS sanction for swim meets and open water events.
• Ensures proper meet procedures and conduct are followed at meets.
• Promotes and coordinates the scheduling of all local open water events.
• Assists with the coordination of local and national postal events.
• Works to improve the safety of open water swimming.
• Sponsors open water clinics from time to time.
• Advocates fitness, health and lifestyle benefits of masters swimming as a member of the USMS Fitness Education Committee

• Certified swimming official with ISHA, NCAA and USMS for 33 years
• Member, USMS National Official Committee
• Meet Director, YMCA Long Course National Championship 2005-2007
• Starter, YMCA Short and Long Course National Championships 1990-2005
• 30 year veteran swim coach for Leaning Tower YMCA, Northside Aquatics Club, Timothy Christian High School and Northside College Prep High School
• ASCA Level 3 Coach
• 2009 CPS Coach of the Year
