Paul Hutinger – BIO

 

  • An active masters swimmer, coach and meet director from 1973-2012
  • First meet director of a masters meet held in the midwest.
  • Co-founder of Illinois Masters swimming along with Bobbi Turcotte, Irene David and Frank Havlicek.
  • Publisher and author of a quarterly swim journal, Lane 4, from 1974-1980.
  • Recipiant of the Ransom J. Arthur Award in 1977.
  • Author and researcher of Journal of Masters Swimming (1982) which featured data on aging swimmers.

USMS Achievements

  • Pool Records – 123 individual and 27 relay
  • Held USMS Pool Records in 50, 100, and 200 backstroke in 7 different age groups
  • All American– 40 years individual, 10 years relay and 3 years long distance

  • Top Ten – 808 individual and 140 relay
  • All-Star Honors – 1 year pool
